Spread of the virus

Virus particles in wastewater Maastricht

If you are infected with the corona virus, there are often virus particles in your stool. Wastewater is collected at treatment plants and tested for virus particles at RIVM.

Because there are no more GGD-tests and less self-testing, waste water research is important to monitor the virus and to recognize a possible revival of the virus.
